The Sacrifice of Isaac

The Sacrifice of Isaac began as a large painting I created after 9.11. A commentary on Religion and Tribalism in "apocolyptic times", it uses the story of Abraham preparing to sacrifice his son. In this scene however, I am in the role of Abraham and my two sons are playing the roles of Isaac and Ishmael. Created using Adobe Photoshop and Flash. The music is from Peter Gabriel's Passion soundtrack.

TV Series: The 9-11 Story

This animated painting was created after the attack on the World Trade Center (9.11) in New York. After watching how the government and the media handled the crisis, I was compelled to make this visual commentary, with additional editorial text which runs across the bottom of the video like a News Ticker. The screen on the TV set contains over 100 iconic images representing the progress of American TV Culture up to and through the 9.11 experience. Created using a photo of my original painting (acrylic on canvas, 48"x80"), Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash.
